SHAPING MODERN ECOMMERCE

CHALLENGE

Shape Technologies manages a group of companies providing waterjet technologies to customers around the world. The problem? Their web technology to sell parts could not provide a modern ecommerce solution. Their businesses were limited by outdated and inefficient platforms that struggled to keep up with complicated inventories and customer-specific pricing systems. They needed a custom-built app to search and filter these complex inventories within the Shopify platform.

SOLUTION

We migrated ecommerce for Flow Parts, a global subsidiary of Shape, to Shopify Plus. To make this possible, we integrated with their existing Enterprise Resource Planning architecture for the product, order, and customer information. This integration allowed for customer-specific pricing and volume discounts.

We also built a custom Product Management System to help maintain a large inventory with complex categorization as well as a custom solution that uses Shopify's search feature to provide the search and filtering features they required for their complex catalogue of parts.
